About Candide Thovex
French freeskiing legend widely regarded as one of the most influential skiers of his generation, known for blending big-mountain freeride with park-style creativity. Entered the Freeride World Tour for his only season in 2010 and won the Ski Men title outright. Better known globally for a string of viral ski films (including 'One of Those Days' and 'Few Words') and for launching his own ski brand, Candide Skis, after a decade with Faction. Named to the Natural Selection Ski Advisory Council alongside riders like Markus Eder and Sammy Carlson for the format's 2025 ski debut in Alaska.
Widely regarded as an FWT and freeskiing legend whose film projects are landmark works in the sport, and a member of the Natural Selection Ski Advisory Council for that tour's 2025 ski debut in Alaska. FWT's results archive shows one season on tour, 2010, in which he won every event he entered.
