About Brodie Seger
Canadian World Cup downhill/super-G racer from North Vancouver, British Columbia, who joined the Whistler Mountain Ski Club at age 9 alongside his brother Riley, now also a teammate on Canada's speed team. Made his World Cup debut in November 2017 at Lake Louise and finished 4th in the super-G at his first World Championships (2021, Cortina d'Ampezzo), missing the podium by 0.04 seconds. Competed at the 2022 Beijing Olympics (3rd in the downhill leg of the alpine combined, 9th overall) and the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympics, and earned his first World Cup top-10 with a 10th place in the Beaver Creek downhill in December 2024.
Created and runs #Helmet4Hope, an annual helmet-design fundraiser (in partnership with the ALS Society of BC and prize sponsor SMITH Optics) supporting ALS research, after his father Mark was diagnosed with ALS; the fundraiser has raised over $66,000 since 2021, per Seger's own official site.
