About Benjamin Cavet
British-born French freestyle skier specializing in moguls and dual moguls; moved to France with his parents at age 10 and joined the Chatel ski club, becoming a French citizen in 2012 after not being offered funding by the UK. Junior World Champion in dual moguls (2014), the same year he made his Olympic debut at Sochi (8th, moguls) and took his first World Cup podium at La Plagne. His breakout season came in 2016-17: six World Cup moguls podiums, 2nd overall on the World Cup, and a vice-world-champion silver at the 2017 World Championships in Sierra Nevada, Spain. A four-time Olympian (2014, 2018, 2022, 2026), he won a World Cup moguls gold at Bakuriani in December 2024. At the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics he finished 10th in moguls and also competed in dual moguls.
FIS bio lists club as 'Ski Club Vallee D'Abondance / Armee de Champions' (the latter being the French Armed Forces elite-athlete program). 2026 Olympics: 10th (moguls). FIS's Olympic dual moguls results table shows a numeric '2' position code for Cavet that would nominally suggest a silver medal, but this directly conflicts with three independently corroborated sources already in this database (Kingsbury's Wikipedia, Graham's OWIA bio, Horishima's Goldwin bio), which all agree Horishima won dual moguls silver and Kingsbury gold at the 2026 Games. Treated as a likely FIS results-table artifact (e.g. a bracket-round position code rather than final placement) rather than an actual medal, and not reported as fact.
