About Ben Barclay
New Zealand freestyle skier (full name Benjamin Robert Barclay) from Auckland, competing in slopestyle and big air. Made his Olympic debut at the 2022 Winter Olympics after a career-best silver in slopestyle at Font Romeu secured a late call-up, and represented New Zealand again at the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics. A longtime member of Atomic's international Freeski Team.
2022 Winter Olympics: competed in slopestyle and big air. 2021-22 World Cup: slopestyle silver, Font Romeu. 2025: slopestyle bronze, Stoneham (Canada). 2026 Winter Olympics (Livigno): 8th slopestyle (315.40 pts), 19th big air.
Sponsors: Atomic Skis - confirmed via Atomic's own 2022 Freeski Team recap article on atomic.com, which profiles him by name as part of the team; dated to the 2021-22 season and not refreshed on a current 'what does he ride' style page, so treated as likely-current but not freshly reconfirmed. A search summary also mentioned 'Ballistics Wake and Snow' (an NZ retailer, not a gear brand) which was not treated as a gear sponsor.
