About Anni Kärävä
Finnish freestyle skier from Ruka, among the top five female park & pipe skiers in the world in recent seasons. Represented Finland in big air at the 2022 Beijing Olympics (9th, 136.50 points) and again at the 2026 Milano Cortina Games. Won her first individual World Cup events in the 2023-24 season (slopestyle, Mammoth Mountain, 3 Feb 2024; big air, Chur season-opener, 18 Oct 2024 - both smaller-field events per their reduced cup-point allocations), then won a big air bronze medal (167.75 points) at the 2025 World Championships in Engadin. On 6 December 2025 she won the Beijing Freeski Big Air World Cup, which Olympics.com's own recap specifically described as the first-ever World Cup win by a Finnish woman in park & pipe skiing - a framing that sits alongside, rather than strictly replacing, her own earlier smaller-field Chur/Mammoth wins. Named 2024 Newschoolers Female Skier of the Year.
Won the Beijing big air World Cup on 6 December 2025, the first-ever Finnish women's park & pipe World Cup win. Holds six career World Cup podiums: 1st Mammoth Mountain slopestyle (3 February 2024), 1st Chur big air (18 October 2024), 2nd Kreischberg big air (10 January 2025), 3rd Aspen big air (6 February 2025), 3rd Tignes big air (13 March 2025) and 1st Beijing big air (6 December 2025).
Sponsors: 1000 Skis (skis) - confirmed via a December 2021 Newschoolers trade-press feature announcing her as 1000 Skis' first official team rider. Also reported to have Peak Performance and Ruka Ski Resort as sponsors - not included as confirmed gear.
