About Angel Collinson

Retired American big mountain skier, born July 13, 1990, and raised in employee housing at the base of Snowbird, Utah, where her father was ski patrol director. Two-time Freeskiing World Tour overall champion (2010, 2011) and the first woman to star in a Teton Gravity Research finale segment (Paradise Waits, 2015). Retired from professional skiing in 2021 to pursue blue-water sailing.

Collinson is a two-time Freeskiing World Tour overall champion (won as a rookie in 2010, then again in 2011), the first woman to appear in a Teton Gravity Research finale segment (Paradise Waits, 2015), the first woman to win the Powder Magazine 'Best Line' award (2015/16), and was named to ESPN's Top 50 Females in Action Sports (2014). A career-long member of the 'MDV family' (Marker/Völkl/Dalbello, all under common ownership), she was also sponsored by The North Face, Red Bull, Smith Optics, Black Diamond, and Smartwool -- no specific signature ski model could be confirmed after searching. She co-starred alongside Michelle Parker and Elyse Saugstad in Matchstick Productions' 'All In' (2018), shot largely in Alaska. Retired from professional skiing in 2021 to sail across the Atlantic on a 40-foot steel monohull and now focuses on mental health advocacy and lifestyle branding; her brother John Collinson is also a professional skier.

Sponsors: The North Face; Red Bull; Völkl (skis) / Marker (bindings) / Dalbello (boots) -- 'MDV family'; Smith Optics; Black Diamond; Smartwool.
